Job Description
  • Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and sensory abilities

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals

  • Help patients regain or improve skills for daily living and work activities

  • Use therapeutic exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques

  • Train patients in using assistive devices and adaptive equipment

  • Modify home, school, or workplace environments to improve independence

  • Work with patients recovering from injury, illness, disability, or aging-related conditions

  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

  • Collaborate with doctors, physiotherapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals

  • Support patients’ mental and emotional well-being during rehabilitation

  • Follow ethical, safety, and professional standards of practice

  • Participate in case meetings, training, and continuing education

  • Advocate for patient independence and quality of life




  • Requirements

    Qualification

    BOT/MOT

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution

  • Valid license/registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist

  • Completion of required clinical internships or fieldwork

  • Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques

  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Strong understanding of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Patience, empathy, and a client-centered approach

  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reports

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records

  • Awareness of safety, ethical, and professional standards

  • Physical stamina to assist and support patients during therapy

  • Willingness to engage in continuing professional development
