WHAT WE CAN DO FOR EACH OTHER

You will take the lead in shaping UK Medical Affairs strategy and operations, setting the scientific and strategic direction across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases.

You ensure excellence in Medical Information, maintaining full compliance with internal standards and external regulations - working closely together with Pharmacovigilance, Quality, Regulatory.

As the ABPI Code expert and final medical signatory, you champion the highest standards of promotional and non-promotional integrity.

Beyond this, you play a pivotal role in UK affiliate leadership, building strong cross-functional partnerships and aligning with global teams to deliver successful product launches and optimize lifecycle management.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead medical and scientific strategy for pre-launch and launch activities, including clinical trials, real-world evidence, educational programs, and insight generation.
  • Act as the final medical signatory, ensuring full compliance with the ABPI Code and MHRA Blue Guide.
  • Represent the company at scientific congresses, gathering insights to inform UK strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop strategic medical plans aligned with global objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with local and corporate policies, driving updates and reviews where needed.
  • Play an active role in UK Leadership Team, shaping affiliate development and culture.
  • Support market access strategies, contributing to policy discussions, HTAs, and national guidelines.
  • Drive launch excellence, including campaign approvals, product training, and evidence generation.
  • Build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, acting as a trusted scientific partner.
  • Lead medical input into patient tools, pathways, and support programs, enhancing patient experience and outcomes.
  • Lead and develop the UK medical team, including structure, recruitment, and budget management.


WHO ARE YOU

  • Medical Doctor eligible for UK registration or GPhC-registered Pharmacist with current Final Medical Signatory status
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with proven leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and signatory expertise
  • Strong knowledge of the ABPI Code, UK pharmaceutical/NHS landscape; familiarity with EU Codes (e.g., EFPIA) and MHRA interactions desirable
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and confident using digital tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat; advanced skills a plus)
  • Strategic thinker with a solid scientific foundation and ability to translate insights into impactful plans
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a collaborative approach to leadership
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a hands-on, solution-focused mindset
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to maintain a helicopter view while managing details
  • Willingness to attend medical conferences and travel to Zambon Headquarters (Milan) as required
  • Desirable: PhD or postgraduate qualifications, experience in neurology, product launches, market access engagement, and exposure to broader medical functions
