Manager, Finance - Hybrid - Mexico City

We are currently looking for a Manager, Finance who will be a leading member of the Global Commercial Finance team at ICON.  The role of the Commercial Finance team at ICON is the pre & post award negotiation and management of commercial terms, at both partnership and transactional levels, that maximize downstream financial and operational performance and minimize the associated legal and contractual risks.

You will be doing:

• Negotiate enterprise level commercial terms with strategic alliance clients
• Support Proposals with timely and commercially sound guidance
• Partner with Finance Business Partnering teams to support annual budget delivery
• Lead or support high profile and complex negotiations during service delivery
• Build strong relationships with Business Development, Legal, Operations and senior leadership
• Liaise with Legal and clients on commercial terms within agreements and multi year service contracts
• Conduct proactive holistic analysis across legal, operational and commercial areas for specific deals
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of pricing tools for internal analysis and client deliverables
• Manage and develop two or more direct report
• Use financial and operational data to drive effective decision making
• Contribute to process improvement and an entrepreneurial team culture
• Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international

Your profile:

• Degree in finance, accounting or related field
• 5+ years of experience in commercial finance, proposals, contract negotiation or a similar client facing financial role
• Proven ability preferably on the seller side, to negotiate complex contracts and manage challenging discussions
• Skilled in financial analysis and comfortable working with pricing or modelling tools
• Strong stakeholder management and cross functional collaboration skills
• Resilient, focused and able to navigate setbacks with professionalism
• Clear communicator with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience leading or developing direct reports is desirable
• Driven by continuous improvement, innovation and commercially sound decision making
