A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a scientist at MKS-Atotech, you will be a apart of analytics department under Chemical and Physical Characterization (CPC) for equal innovation partner in R&D as well as external customer samples for analysis and report generation. In this role, you will report to one of the Team Manager (Analytics).

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Performing chemical/ physical investigations as per internal and external customer request.
• Partner with R&D teams in the development of products and processes using analytical techniques.
• Development and validation of new methods and process control in the area of responsibility.
• Characterization of additives, identification of unknown compounds and troubleshooting of technical queries related to analytical chemistry.
• Oversee the instrument’s calibration and maintenance in SAP-PM according to SOP.
• Report generation based on the agreed timeline.
• Co-ordination with the team manager for procurement of chemicals, reagents & instruments spares.
• Carryout lab activities based on HSE requirements like storing & handling of chemicals as per SOPs, MSDS etc. and safe disposal of effluent.
• Documentation of analytical processes and investigations according to ISO 9001/14001/45001/17025.
  
  

Skills You Bring:

• Ph.D in Chemistry with 1+ years of experience in the area of responsibility
• Specialization in organic and inorganic analytes with good skills in interpreting analysis data and report generation
• Handling of analytical instruments like HPLC, FTIR, LC-MS, UV-VIS and auto titrators etc.
• Ability to work well with other personnel to foster a safe working culture.
• Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
• Sound behavioural aptitude with understanding of Organizational and collaborative skills.
