Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Hospital Pharmacist to join our team at CURI in Chennai. This full-time position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the proper management of medication therapies and supporting patient care through diligent pharmaceutical practices.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Proficiency in medication therapy management, ensuring effective and safe treatment plans for patients.
  • Experience with electronic health records systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date medication histories.
  • Ability to compound pharmaceuticals accurately as per medical prescriptions and industry standards.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance to ensure the pharmacy adheres to legal and safety regulations.
  • Capability to provide patient counseling to inform and educate patients about medication use and safety.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software to efficiently handle prescriptions and inventory.
  • Understanding of clinical pharmacokinetics to optimize drug therapy across different medical conditions.
  • Skills in drug information retrieval to effectively source and interpret necessary pharmaceutical data.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret physician orders and prescriptions to ensure therapeutic accuracy and safety.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to manage and optimize medication therapies for improved patient outcomes.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive records of pharmaceutical use and patient profiles in electronic health systems.
  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and manage pharmacy stocks, including ordering and storing drugs.
  • Counsel patients on the correct use of medications, potential side effects, and guidelines on medication adherence.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in pharmaceuticals, participating in continuous education and training programs.
  • Support the healthcare team with expert drug information to aid in high-quality patient care delivery.
