The Senior Solution Manager integrates Owkin’s expertise in AI and data access to create and continuously evolve a portfolio of solutions for Pharma customers.
This person is therefore the interface between Data Science and Business Development at Owkin and collaborates with the Solution Director to co-create the Solution strategy, aligned with Owkin’s strategy, as well as for collaborative projects with Pharma and academic partners deriving from it. This person will report to the Solution Director for Translational and Biomarker Research.
In particular, you will:- Collaborate with the Solution Director to define the vision, strategy and roadmap of a set of Biomarker and Drug positioning solutions. Towards this end, integrate “internal” insights on innovative research that is continuously conducted at Owkin and “external” signals on market need and competition delivered by Business Development, aiming to provide high-value, differentiated solution products for Pharma clients.
- Coordinate Owkin’s Biomarker and Translational guilds and stay on top of the latest scientific developments within and beyond Owkin’s Research and Technology department
- Identify needs and opportunities for solution improvement, such as new features and data-driven proof points. Collaborate with Pharma Solutions Data Science leadership and staff to ensure staffing to implement features and proof points and adjust solution roadmaps with respect to agreed timelines.
- Take part in the sales process: collaborate with Business Development and Marketing to continuously improve and be proficient in the pitch materials describing Owkin’s solutions; participate in pre-contract conversations with customers, highlighting the solution’s value for each individual customer. Be the main point of contact for the respective solutions in order to answer scientific questions from prospective customers.
Required qualifications / experience:
- PhD, Masters degree or BSc (or equivalent experience) in computer science (machine learning, applied mathematics, computer science, software engineering) or life sciences (MD, PharmD, (computational) biology, bioinformatics, biological engineering etc.)
- Significant experience in the technical delivery or project management of high-impact scientific research / technological products / consulting engagement
- Experience in Biostatistics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning
- Ability to create and develop trust-based relationships with our clients and teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; capable of tackling complex problems logically and effectively; capable of recognizing essence of value in a dynamic stream of complex information
- Excited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Passionate about the intersections of Healthcare and AI
- Fluent in English
Preferred qualifications/bonus:
- Experience in business strategy, creating and articulating a vision to translate scientific AI know-how into a value proposition for a customer, writing SoWs etc.
- Experience in customer engagement
- Fluent in French is a plus
