Job Summary
This is the role of an Insights Associate Director which is part of a global team in Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing (“CABM”). The team’s aim is to promote the proactive use of Insights and Data in decision making by both Corporate and Investment Bank (“CIB”) and CABM teams. The ideal candidate should have experience of having worked in a market research or business consulting firm, managing large scale global insights projects both in terms of insights generation and project management. Ideally should have worked in SC CIB.

- Manage and execute robust data research/collection methodologies, approaches, and strategies to
- Demonstrate deep understanding of CIB client segments, their behaviours and needs
- Undertake in-depth research on effectiveness of client events organised globally by SCB, generate insights and recommendations for future planning, including recommendations for questionnaire design, alternate insights collection approaches etc
- Qualtrics practitioner
- Design and deliver event specific, thematic and aggregate reports; deliver presentations to a diverse global audience (internal stakeholders)
- End to end project management of surveys to create efficiencies across the research journey, particular focus on data management and analysis for reducing the time taken to deliver actionable insights
- Ability to run advanced analytics to identify trends, causality, and actionable insights to support commercial business outcomes
- Use advanced analytical tools and macros to drive process efficiencies and deliver insights
- Collaborate with the wider team to maintain events survey databases, in line with the Bank’s database guidelines
- Translate insights into clear, concise reports, and presentation to internal stakeholders; integrate multiple data sources for holistic insights. Story-tell the insights.
- Create / develop and maintain dashboards using visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI etc
- Interface with a broad range of business and CABM stakeholders
- Input into strategy papers and other reporting forums
- Support the delivery of other research projects managed by the team, as needed
Strategy
- Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role
- Support the measurement strategy for CABM initiatives, events in particular
- Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates, particularly the CIB business.
- Responsible for executing the Proprietary Client Survey and Market Research processes.
- Adhere to the Bank’s research policies, ensuring integrity, independence, and research standards of any research analysis and/or CABM’s brand, marketing, communications content produced
- The ability to interpret the Group's relevant risk and governance frameworks, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
- Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team, local and regional data governing bodies, to ensure that
- data capabilities are compliant with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and risks
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
