Project Leader/DMC Specialist- Mexico- Remote

We are currently seeking a Data Monitoring Committee Specialist to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Project Leader at ICON, you will be responsible for guiding and managing project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your role will involve overseeing project execution, coordinating resources, and ensuring that project objectives are met within appropriate timeline. This opportunity can lead someone into a project management pathway!

What You Will Be Doing:

  • The employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, adding value to our business and meeting client needs. 
  • Manages project in a timely manner in adherence with ICON's SOP's, ICH, GCP and appropriate regulation and liaise with other departments, as necessary.
  • Delivers projects in accordance with the contract, timelines, and study budget
  • Identifies out of scope activities and initiates budget change orders and contract amendments
  • Leads external DMC meetings and drafts technical meeting minutes.
  • Attends and presents at client meetings and team meetings.
  • Develops and maintains all trial documentation (i.e., Charter, Communication Plan) 
  • Serves as the primary study contact for client and internal and external study teams.
  • Develops and monitors DMC processing workflows to maintain efficiency
  • Prepares meeting agenda and facilitates the completion and distribution of meeting minutes
  • Coordinates DMC Committee members’ documentation.
  • Conducts project/system specific training to committee members 
  • Performs project finance reporting activities
  • Provides feedback to senior management on project status, metrics, client satisfaction, and staffing issues.
  • Participates in bid defense and new proposal review activities as necessary
  • Participates in internal, client, and regulatory audits
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (IE: Biology, Biochemistry) or Clinical Degree
  • The ability to Travel (approximately 10-15%) domestically and/or international.
  • Strong English language communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead and manage project teams effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a commitment to achieving project goals and driving continuous improvement.
