About The Opportunity
As a consultant, your time will be divided as follows:
Through the effective collection and analysis of market, competitor and stakeholder information, you will be responsible for supporting Competitive Strategy engagements across our clients’ product and company life cycles.
As you would be working with global clients, the consultant position requires an understanding of the evolving biopharmaceutical market and trends. Knowledge of drug development and commercialisation is also desirable.

- Working in the development and commercialisation aspects of the biopharmaceutical industry, especially in the EU and US?
- Making an impact on the development of life-saving and life-changing novel therapeutics, especially in the field of oncology?

- A creative and analytical mind and the ability and desire to source relevant insight through secondary data analytics and primary research?

About The Opportunity
As a consultant, your time will be divided as follows:
- 70% conducting secondary research
- 30% conducting primary research
Through the effective collection and analysis of market, competitor and stakeholder information, you will be responsible for supporting Competitive Strategy engagements across our clients’ product and company life cycles.
As you would be working with global clients, the consultant position requires an understanding of the evolving biopharmaceutical market and trends. Knowledge of drug development and commercialisation is also desirable.
- Reporting: You will report to a senior executive within Prescient’s India office
- Time Allocation: 80% of your time will be spent in the India office, with 20% spent on domestic or international travel for client meetings, conferences and inter-office visits
Key Responsibilities
- Evidence Generation:
- Secondary Data Analytics: Source, analyse and report published information, whether it be scientific, clinical, commercial, corporate or regulatory
- Primary Research: Conduct discussions with industry experts to understand market trends and competitive positioning
- Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with other members of the project team to analyse findings, develop insights and create client presentations that deliver a linear, evidence-based story on the topics in focus
- Conference Attendance: Cover key conferences, where you will interact with a wide range of experts and delegates and attend key symposia, presentations, posters and booths
- Maintenance of Knowledge Assets: Build data repositories, linked to specific therapeutic areas and market and regulatory dynamics
- Client Management: Collaborate with other members of the project and account teams to ensure that clients experience best-in-class customer service and that all projects are run in a proactive, communicative and efficient manner
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a valued subject matter expert externally and mentor junior staff internally
- PhD with at least two or more of the following degrees in the life sciences: BTech (biotechnology or related areas), BPharm, MTech (biotechnology or related areas), MPharm, MSc/MBA combination
- More than three years of relevant professional experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, academia or consultancy organisations, of which at least two were focused on oncology, neurology, immunology and/or biosimilars consulting
- Experience in primary research within the pharmaceutical environment
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with global colleagues and contribute to client reports
- Analytical skills, including the ability to collect, organise and disseminate significant amounts of information, with attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to develop insights that add value from available information
- An understanding of the drug development and commercialisation processes
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- A desire to expand your skill set and learn about the business and the market
- Fluency in English
