Job Title: Proposal Writer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to join our team. In this role, you will identify and clarify opportunities and needs by studying requests for proposals (RFPs) and attending strategy meetings. You will develop proposals by assembling information such as project nature, objectives, outcomes, deliverables, implementation methods, timetables, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation. Your ability to write, revise, and edit drafts, including executive summaries and conclusions, will be crucial in maintaining the quality and consistency of our proposals.

Responsibilities

• Identify and clarify opportunities and needs by studying requests for proposals (RFPs) and attending strategy meetings.
• Establish priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval to meet proposal deadlines.
• Enter and monitor tracking data and coordinate requirements with contributors.
• Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information and coordinating submissions and collections.
• Develop proposals by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation.
• Write, revise, and edit drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
• Maintain quality results by using templates and following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone.
• Coordinate and manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Obtain approvals by reviewing proposals with key stakeholders.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in proposal writing, preferably in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry.
• Technical writing or experience in technology preferred.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities to gather and synthesize complex information.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with proposal management software.
• Proficient computer and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present ideas.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong strategic planning skills.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or a related field.
• Samples of work or writing test required.
  
  

Work Environment

You will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will have the opportunity to manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously. The work involves using Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software. Attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are critical. Dress code is business casual.
