One post of Project Scientist-1 @ Rs. 56,000/- + 16% HRA provided in the project “Application of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in Agriculture –BIC at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana’’ CSS-05 (PC-6352) (Financed by Govt. of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, DBT, New Delhi) with Qualifications as under.

Educational Qualifications

• B. Sc./B.Tech with minimum OCPA 5.5/10.00 or 55% marks.
• M.Sc./M. Tech. in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology/System Biology and Bioinformatics / Biotechnology /Molecular Biology/Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with at least 6.00/10.00 OCPA or 60% marks.
• Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ System Biology and Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology/ Molecular Biology and Biotechnology with minimum 6.00/10.00 OCPA or 60% marks.
  
  

Age Limit: 18 years to 35 Years

Note-I The Candidates who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note-II- Desirable Qualifications; Experience of working in Bioinformatics/NGS/Genomics/Machine Learning/ Database Designing and good experience in Programming Language as evident from good quality publications in peer reviewed journals.

Note- III- The position is purely on contract/ temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The position will be initially awarded for a period of six months and will be extended further based on performance.
