Our various practice areas include: Market Access and Outcomes Strategy, Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment, Health Economics, Pharmacoepidemiology, Biostatistics, Surveys and Observational Studies, and Health Preference Assessment.
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment (PCOA) group is looking to add a Psychometrician to work collaboratively in a group that specializes in assisting clients with the development and psychometric evaluation of instruments used in clinical trials (e.g., patient-reported outcome [PRO] measures). RTI-HS psychometricians are responsible for implementing a variety of technical analyses, ensuring the accuracy of analytic methods and results, and independently designing, planning, and completing research studies to support project and client needs.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Design, oversee, and conduct classical and modern test theory analyses, interpretation of meaningful change, and post-hoc statistical analyses to support evaluations of clinical outcome assessments for regulatory review.
- Accurately analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate psychometric results to clients within specified deadlines and produce high-quality psychometric analysis plans, technical reports, and manuscripts.
- Contribute to the writing of proposals
- Communicate effectively (via email, telephone, and in-person) with clients and team members.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in quantitative psychology, statistics, biostatistics, or related field with at least 10 years of directly related experience, or a PhD and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience
- Extensive experience independently preparing psychometric analysis plans and reports of clinical outcome assessments for regulatory review
- Demonstrated SAS skills (required) and expertise in at least one latent variable software package (e.g., MPLUS)
- Demonstrated experience using R
- Significant experience related to the psychometric evaluation of outcome measures, including classical psychometric methods (e.g., evaluations of test-retest reliability and internal consistency), exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, and Rasch Measurement and/or Item Response Theory
- Experience implementing hierarchical linear modelling, repeated measures models, mixture models
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as team leader
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and oral)
