We are now looking for a RD (Senior) Director to join our growing team.

What our Research Development (Senior) Director will do

As RD (Senior) Director, you will drive the product group strategy, overseeing the successful design and release of the future generation of Power MOSFET product families and technology platforms. Although being based in the UK would be ideal, there could also be strategic advantages to you being based in other global locations so please be aware we are also open to the possibility of this.

Reporting to the global head of RD you will:

  • Lead, develop, and motivate a growing team of highly skilled engineers and experts dedicated to the release of industry-leading Power MOSFET product portfolios
  • Drive, define, and manage execution of the future product roadmap
  • Ensure that new product releases meet manufacturability, reliability, customer, and market requirements in collaboration with product marketing, process development, assembly, and industrial functions
  • Act as a technical leader and provide technical guidance across the organisation, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with senior management, participating in activities between many functions including the wafer fab, assembly, test, quality, applications, and business groups


What you will need

  • Experience of leading an RD team in a semiconductor environment
  • A proven track record of driving and delivering projects on time in a managerial capacity
  • A solid general understanding of semiconductor device physics, characterisation, and process flow
  • Some understanding of Power MOSFETs including electrical operation, device physics,wafer fabrication processes, packaging flows, reliability methods, characterisation, and failure modes
  • The ability to communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly and to influence stakeholders at all levels
