Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Accounting Manager. As a member of the Finance team, you will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through medical technology innovation. The Accounting Manager is a key role to ensure that the ledgers are timely closed at month end along with understanding the accounting structure and being competent in applying US GAAP correctly. The Accounting Manager works with other departments throughout Veranex including but not limited to payroll, business operations and the global finance team.

As a Accounting Manager will drive success by looking for ways to improve process flows to ensure information is received from other departments timely to ensure a timely close process. The Accounting Manager will take the lead to work with other departments and third parties to ensure they understand the needs of the finance department and timelines and ensure the Director is kept apprised of any issues that arise. The Accounting Manager will ensure that all journal entries and tasked assigned are completed on time in accordance with the monthly close calendar. The Accounting Manager will have two direct reports.

What You Will Do:

• Review journal entries throughout the month and at month end close and ensure that proper documentation is provided.
• Prepare more complex journal entries and provide proper support with a clear audit trail.
• Review account reconciliations to ensure that they are prepared correctly and have the proper support for the reconciliation. Follow up to ensure reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner.
• Prepare more complex account reconciliations and researching reconciling items to ensure they are cleared in a timely manner.
• Assist the director in preparation of the cash forecast.
• Assist in obtaining supporting documentation related to audit requests. Along with being able to work with the auditors to resolve any questions.
• Fixed asset – including capitalization of assets in accordance with US GAAP.
• Review and analysis of financial statements to ensure items are properly coded.
• Researching requests from other departments related to financial impact queries.
• Assisting in the documentation of standard operating procedures related to the finance department and ensuring the proper controls are in place.
• Other tasks as assigned by Director of Accounting
  
  

Qualifications:

Required skills:

• Master's degree is required
• 8 - 10+ years’ experience working with the general ledger and career progression
• CPA license is required or CPA eligible.
• Please keep in mind as you list required skills, the selected candidate must meet the all the criteria.
• Experience in NetSuite or a similar ERP
• Prior audit experience
