As the Senior Data Researcher within the Customer Data Management team at Tradeweb, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of corporate-wide data uniformity, particularly focusing on high-level data sets such as Business Entity, Client Segmentation, and Contact Data. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve analyzing client-specific information, documenting project requirements, implementing changes to master data, and identifying areas for data quality improvement. Reporting to the Customer Data Lead, you will work autonomously and collaboratively, applying your advanced analytical skills and organizational abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Through clear communication and effective problem-solving, you will contribute to the success of data management initiatives, driving operational efficiency and supporting the organization's strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure timely onboarding of new acquisitions into the corporate data ecosystem, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Data Platform, Sales, Finance, and internal collaborators.
  • Identify areas for data quality improvement and collaborate with collaborators to implement procedures or improvements to resolve data quality issues.
  • Use a centralized system to reconcile data outputs and ensure consistency and accuracy across datasets.
  • Work closely with other team members and cross-functional teams to support data management projects and initiatives.
  • Analyze various levels of client-specific information and populate it into the database of record accurately, completely, and within specified timelines.
  • Clearly and concisely document requirements for each project, working closely with collaborators to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile inconsistencies, and determine the best path forward for data management initiatives.
  • Implement changes to master data following established processes, including creation, modification, activation/deactivation, and other necessary adjustments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a preference for a postgraduate degree (preferably MBA Finance) or Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in secondary research involving the summary, collation, and synthesis of existing research, preferably in a data management or financial services environment.
  • Advanced experience in Excel and database technologies, including pivot tables, Visual Basic, and proficiency in utilizing centralized data systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and effectively with various collaborators and departments across the organization.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial markets data, coupled with analytical and problem-solving skills to distill large amounts of information into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, with a high degree of attention to detail and demonstrated decision-making ability.
  • Ability to influence others and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating self-motivation and results orientation.
