Position Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Medical Affairs Specialist, focused on creating content to drive the Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) Medical Education and Medical Science education strategy, designing and implementing strategic metric dashboards and reports, and managing strategic projects that align to ACM Medical Education and Medical Science. This individual will partner with team members, cross functional partners and business leaders to understand ACM Med Sci needs, identify process improvements, and implement changes. Project responsibilities will span multiple functional areas including Medical Education, Medical Science and HCP Society Relations. This individual works under the direction of the ACM Director of Global Medical Science, Medical Education and Economics.
Position Responsibilities

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):125,000 - $132,000
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

Position Responsibilities
- Influence the design of product education plans based on business strategy with a significant focus on functional results
- Design and influence creative and engaging HCP education programs, that are targeted, purposeful, and increase knowledge and skills. Content may include, but is not limited to presentations, brochures, and agendas
- Apply Adult Learning Theory and design principles (ADDIE) for all learning and development projects.
- Ensure timely updates to the course curricula to reflect changes in product offerings and market demands.
- Own and manage all phases of multiple projects for Medical Education, Medical Science and HCP Society relations teams, and provide a single point of contact for each project. This may include defining project scope and objectives, along with the applicable detailed work plans and schedules.
- Represent and support Medical Science and Medical Education for Ad/Promo routing of materials through Veeva. This includes routing content, following up with all reviewers to ensure timely completion of materials, and scheduling of collaboration meetings with reviewers when needed. This will require working with all members of the Medical Science and Medical Education teams.
- Identify and provide Medical Science and Medical Education strategic metrics, as defined by the business, in dashboard and report structure
- Partner with HCP and Society relations manager to execute nomination, selection, and utilization review process
- Work collaboratively with marketing, clinical, medical education, medical science, and other cross-functional partners across ACM develop new processes, quality standards and increase efficiency of the team.
- Work in all systems that align to Medical Education, Medical Science, and HCP/Society engagement, including but not limited to AMP, Smartsheet, salesforce.com and Veeva
- Ensure medical education and medical science programs meet company and customer objectives
- Effectively communicate with various audience types including but not limited to medical education, sales training, marketing, regulatory, clinical, engineering, and field marketing managers
- Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Industry experience preferred
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated to make recommendations and initiate assignments that will improve business processes
- Flexible work hours to support Medical Education, which may include evenings, nights, and weekends
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of PC software applications including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
