The Senior Revenue Accountant will follow ASC 606 (Accounting Standards Codification) guidelines to review customer contracts and provide audit support following company and SOX requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Review every contract entered with customers and prepare a detailed ASC 606 checklist covering all 5 steps of the 606 model
• Review all expansions/reductions in the scope of work with customers and apply the contract modification guidance in ASC 606
• Manage standalone selling price analyses and support
• Prepare journal entries to record revenue, including necessary accruals
• Reconcile revenue-related balance sheet accounts, i.e. contract assets/liabilities, by project
• Assess the progress towards satisfaction of all performance obligations and collaborate with Operations to make updates as necessary
• Prepare all revenue-related disclosure packages, including backlog and the current period recognition of prior year contract liabilities
• Manage all grant accounting, support the grant owner with information needed, and coordinate the annual audit of our grants
• Provide support for external and internal audits, ensuring alignment with company policies and SOX requirements
• Support ad hoc requests for revenue-related information
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting/auditing experience
• CPA required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, especially ASC 606
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred
• FloQast experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field
