We’re seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our flow cytometry team. You’ll be responsible for performing installations, preventive maintenance, and repair services for our customers' equipment within Europe, primarily supporting our installed base in the UK and Ireland. You will
- Schedule and perform installations and preventative maintenance on assigned instrumentation in your territory.
- Conduct emergency repair visits across Europe and be available to travel to assist other field service representatives when required.
- Communicate any product quality issues to the appropriate associates.
- Collaborate closely with territory sales personnel and Field Applications Specialists.
- Handle customer accounts, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Identify and communicate leads for post-instrument sales, upgrades, and accessories.
- Maintain an organized inventory of service parts to support service requirements within your assigned territory.
- Stay up-to-date with compliance requirements in your area of work and ensure compliance.
You will bring
- Relevant experience in field service on medical research or diagnostic products, ideally working on flow cytometers
- A bachelor’s degree or technical education or military technical training
- Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer focus to build strong customer relationships
- Excellent communicator
- Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills
- Self-motivated, a team player who bonds with new team members and creates a positive work environment with team spirit and mutual respect
- Ability to travel approximately 80% within the UK
- A full clean driving license is required
