- Play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of a growing fleet of 600 trucks and 750 drivers, with projections to quadruple in 2.5 years.
- Bridge the gap between the Safety team and the Operations team by enforcing safety standards and ensuring follow-through on training and compliance initiatives.
- Help resolve issues and identifying gaps by working closely with logistics managers to improve safety protocols.
- Provide critical insights and data through reporting and dashboards to support decision-making and optimize transportation safety efforts.
- Assist in the integration and effective use of Samsara software, including event recorders and GPS tracking, to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and improve overall fleet safety.
- Proven experience in transportation safety, preferably within large fleets.
- Strong technical proficiency, including advanced Excel skills for reporting, dashboards, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Samsara software or similar fleet management tools, including event recorders and GPS systems, is highly beneficial.
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations and compliance standards for transportation safety.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment that requires patience, resolve, and the capability to address issues with cross-functional teams, especially when dealing with operational inefficiencies.
