Job Description
The Role
We are seeking talented individuals to join the Veeva Business Consulting group in Medical, a priority area for Veeva. We work with senior customer stakeholders, as the digital partner of choice for 85% of the top 20 Pharmaceutical companies, to define and realize the strategic value of Medical Affairs.

As a Senior Business Consultant, you will manage complex and novel consulting projects for Veeva customers in the Medical Affairs, Medical Operations, and Medical and Patient Analytics space – managing teams and planning, organizing, and tracking all aspects of delivery. You will analyze interesting problems, build insightful solutions, and develop close working relationships with stakeholders to deliver realizable value, at the forefront of digital and Medical Affairs innovation.
Opportunities are available across the United States for this role as this is a remote position. There is no work location requirement if a candidate is in proximity to an airport and able to meet travel requirements. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.


What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Veeva’s Business Consulting Analytics team on patient analytics and stakeholder (KOL/HCP) engagement insights
  • Lead Medical Business Consulting projects as the operational face of a Veeva Medical Business Consulting team, with responsibility for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of delivery including scope, quality, resources, risks, and timelines
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end design, build, and delivery of deliverables that meet overall project goals and objectives
  • Identify and proactively solve problems faced by the customer
  • Be a trusted client contact for strategic and operational questions, developing the relationship through face-to-face discussions, workshops, phone, and email contact
  • Manage the work and priorities of team members on your project(s)
  • Support and mentor Consultants and Associates in developing skills and professional capabilities
  • Bring to clients an excellent level of the industry, market, and functional insight including Medical Affairs specific challenges
  • Proactively lead business development opportunities and proposals related to Medical Business Consulting, Patient Analytics, and Stakeholder (KOL/HCP) engagement insights
  • Develop and disseminate thought leadership and campaigns that differentiate Veeva Medical Business Consulting and Business Consulting Analytics


Requirements

  • Graduate school level education (Master’s, PhD or MD/PhD)
  • Excellent academic record
  • 2+ years of strategy consulting experience
  • Experience in Life Sciences, particularly in Medical Affairs, Market Access, Product Launch and/or Commercialization space
  • Good level of experience in data analytics/data-driven research in medical/scientific areas, and data coding literacy
  • Good level of understanding of the payor ecosystem in North America, and can operate as a subject matter expert for the Veeva Business Consulting Analytics team to provide strategic insights for patient and medical stakeholder analytics
  • Good understanding of Medical operational transformation, with deeper expertise and/or interest in two or more of the following areas: Medical Field Transformation and Excellence, Medical Content Excellence, Implementation of solutions for Medical Affairs and/or Field Medical, Product Launch, HEOR
  • Good understanding of Life Sciences digital / technology landscape and ideally Veeva’s platforms and solutions and how business consulting offerings can both leverage and support these
  • Good understanding of the business capabilities and drivers underpinning digital technology in Health and life sciences and the market forces and trends driving industry changes in Health Life Sciences
  • Proven analytical skills, able to quantitatively and qualitatively assess problems and communicate responses across a range of issues
  • A problem-solving mindset: anticipating issues early, analyzing and proactively finding solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership of others in the delivery of complex deliverables
  • Highly efficient project management skills
  • Able to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization and quickly establish credibility
  • Have a strong personal impact and ability to influence and persuade a range of stakeholders
  • An effective communicator verbally and written, in English
  • Strong experience in PPT and Excel


Nice to Have

  • Experience with coding languages or data analytics platforms and packages
  • Experience with digital technologies – channels, analytics tools, emerging technology
  • Experience working with SaaS solutions
  • Understanding/experience of statistical analysis/ machine learning and AI and its applications in medical, sales, and marketing
