Your Impact
As our new Director of Strategic Accounts at Medscape UK, you’ll leverage your expertise to bring our unique media and professional engagement solutions to life for pharmaceutical and healthcare brands. You’ll be responsible for developing and growing relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within top-tier pharma, biotech, and medical device companies, as well as with industry-leading advertising agencies.
This is an exciting role for a driven sales professional who thrives in a consultative, client-facing environment.
What You’ll Do
Drive Revenue Client Growth
- Identify, target, and win new clients within pharmaceutical companies, focusing on brand managers and medical teams.
- Expand and deepen existing client relationships, acting as a strategic partner in their brand engagement and physician outreach strategies.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets, with a competitive commission structure that rewards success and includes uncapped earning potential.
Deliver Value-Based Selling
- Sell at a strategic level by aligning Medscape’s digital media, advertising, and educational solutions with clients’ needs in healthcare professional engagement.
- Present tailored solutions, leveraging your knowledge of digital media and pharma industry trends to bring new ideas and insights to clients.
Cultivate Trusted Partnerships
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with senior leadership within client organizations, developing your role as a trusted advisor.
- Work closely with Medscape’s top-tier support teams in sales, client services, marketing, and operations to deliver seamless and impactful campaigns.
Expand Market Presence
- Represent Medscape at key industry events and medical conferences across Europe and beyond.
- Stay ahead of the latest healthcare, digital marketing, and pharmaceutical trends to provide clients with innovative solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Industry Expertise: 5+ years of successful sales experience in digital media, advertising, or educational solutions targeting pharma, biotech, or medical device companies.
- Client Connections: Demonstrable success selling to senior brand managers, medical teams, or executives within top-tier pharmaceutical companies or with major advertising agencies in the life sciences space.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record in consultative, strategic selling with the ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets consistently.
- Digital Savvy: Strong understanding of digital marketing, media, and the specific challenges and opportunities within pharma marketing and physician engagement.
- Relationship-Driven: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build meaningful, long-term client relationships based on trust and value.
- Exceptional Communicator: Strong presentation skills and proven success interacting with senior management.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
