Job Description
You will be an experienced Bioinformatician, with roots in maths and statistics. Exposure to machine learning tools will be advantageous but not a deal breaker. You’ll need to be well versed working with NGS data and developing bioinformatics tools for clinical interpretation.
This role has a high level of impact, as you will be developing and implementing bioinformatics solutions across the whole product pipeline. You’ll need to be a good communicator as you will be collaborating and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing novel mathematical models and statistical analyses for variant calling and detection of minimal residual disease
  • Develop machine learning methods for improving probe efficiency and selectivity.
  • Providing insights into data that improves assay performance.
  • Develop high quality code.


Ideally You Will Have

  • PhD in computational biology/bioinformatics/other related field
  • Post doc or industry experience post PhD
  • Strong background in maths and statistics
  • Experience working within Oncology
  • Experience processing, analysing and interpreting NGS data
  • Exposure to ML tools and frameworks eg Tensorflow, Pytorch
  • Proficient programming skills (Ideally Python)
  • Familiarity with standard software engineering tools (Jira, Git, CI/CD)
  • Experience using workflow management systems (Nextflow, Snakemake)
  • Exposure to Cloud environments (Ideally AWS)
