Role Purpose: The SAP Deployment Manager will manage and deliver SAP related projects, enhancements, and/or fix releases. The role will be part of the SAP Delivery Operations team contributing to the overall SAP solution working closely with various project/ build teams, Solution Architect, and Technical resources.
Key Skills Responsibilities: An SAP Deployment Manager in IT is a person responsible for managing the complete software delivery life cycle. They must work with the team from the planning phase to the deployment phase through the development and testing phases.
It's essential for Deployment managers to have strong project management skills to help them lead a team of SAP consultants and provide guidance on project management techniques.
- At least 10 years' experience in implementing SAP across multiple process areas for large complex organizations.
- Significant experience of leading large complex, global, multi-year SAP deployments
- In depth knowledge and experience of SAP Project Management Delivery
- 5 Full life cycle implementations completed.
- Responsible for planning and execution of SAP ECC solution within Pharma business.
- Responsible across life cycle of solution deployment phases preparation, explore and realization.
- Comprehensive SAP background across a variety of modules
- Expert in the use of planning tools such as MS Project
- Must have Good Business Change Management or Transformation skills
- Strong knowledge in SAP ERP-SCM /OTC/PP-PI functional areas, Pharma Validation.
- Good to have knowledge on SAP-PI/PO and other integration tools, Testing Tools and Monitoring Tools.
- Having knowledge of release strategy, eliminating risk of Application Stoppages
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.

- Responsible for tracking key project activities at a detailed level including administrative items associated with a complex technical SAP deployment.
- Monitors plan and highlights anticipated issues or slippage.
- Formulates recovery plans or assessing impact if not recoverable and escalates as appropriate.
