• Design systems, including development and maintenance to support deliverables.

• Design, development, documentation, and quality assurance of new systems.

• Defining technical requirements, database structure and database environment.

• Provide reporting and analysis of sourcing data to support Merck’s control of the negotiated Commercial Models.

• Ability to work in externally available commercial databases to support role.

• Development of tools to support other departments needs for cost data from the company’s service providers including communication and requirements gathering.

• Provide ongoing training on existing and new databases and other systems developed by the group.

• Direct communication with other functions and service providers.

• Train and mentor Data Analytics Managers.

• Support LEAN processes and continuous improvement.

• 5 years of extensive professional experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years in an associated role in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO

• Experienced VBA Programmer

• Strong skills in database design and management (SQL)

• Solid understanding of the End-to-End Clinical Research Process

• Full understanding of the development and oversight of clinical trial budgets/contracts

• Ability to coordinate organize multiple sources of data into a cohesive platform and deliver reports and analysis as required.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think/act strategically

• Ability to work and understand in a multi-cultural business

• Highly developed written, verbal and listening skills
