JOB DESCRIPTION

After one of the most eagerly anticipated biotechnology flotations in the history of the London Stock Exchange, we continue to grow and looking for dynamic Bioinformaticians to join our team!

You will work collaboratively with laboratory scientists and other bioinformaticians to plan projects, acquire nanopore sequencing data and to analyse and interpret the data. Working on a broad range of projects covering all aspects of genomics and associated interpretation of nanopore sequencing data. Core areas for expansion include:

  • Bioinformatics Software Developers.

  • Application Bioinformaticians.

Skills/Experience

  • MSc (or equivalent) in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology

  • Hands on experience with bioinformatic tools and techniques

  • Good Project Management skills

  • Experience with scripting languages Perl/Python, R etc

Desirable:

  • Direct knowledge of performing appropriate bioinformatic analyses for genome assembly, SNP and SV-calling, metagenomics, gene expression, epigenetics, single-cell genomics and chromatin-capture would be helpful.

  • Experience with a genomic focussed laboratory involved in sample preparation and next-generation sequencing would also be a bonus.

  • Oxford or remote home-based.
