The Ascension Data Sciences Institute (ADSI) was created in July 2019 with the mission of supporting Ascension in achieving its Quadruple Aim with uniquely skilled, high-performing associates who develop analyses, models, and applications to enable Ascension in providing higher value healthcare and making strategic decisions. We are hiring a Senior Analyst, Clinical Transformation to support Ascension’s goal to differentiate ourselves on patient quality and innovation. Clinical Transformation is a rapidly growing division of the company working to leverage health technologies that include AI, wearables, virtual care, personalized patient messaging, and remote patient monitoring - with our team leading analytic efforts around these programs. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting Clinical Transformation initiatives in improving care through the use of automated patient messaging programs (“nudges”), aimed at providing a more personalized, engaging, and effective healthcare experience. You will be integrated within a multi-disciplinary group of data scientists, developers, engineers, and medical professionals, supporting the rapid development, monitoring, reporting, and scaling of these digital programs.
As an ideal candidate, you will bring strong technical expertise in data processing and reporting pipelines, as well as data exploration, visualization, and quality control. To be successful, you will need to have superior SQL skills, natural curiosity and eagerness to learn, and enjoy working in a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:
- Support nudge program data requirements and quality assurance, including cohort identification and segmentation, using criteria provided by clinical teams
- Build and monitor data processing pipelines, working closely with data engineering and other technical teams to manage the data infrastructure needed to evaluate and scale programs
- Perform analytics around nudge programs, including implementation, quality, and outcomes reporting
- Build reporting dashboards that deliver on clinical and business stakeholder requirements, including documentation of data elements and metrics
- Support ad hoc analytic requests and communicate findings to stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and guidance
- Bachelors Degree preferred, Masters strongly preferred in relevant area (such as Health Informatics, Healthcare Data Science, Healthcare Information Technology, or Public Health)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience strongly preferred
- Strong SQL skills are required (Please note, the interview process will include a SQL assessment.)
- Experience working with EHR, medical billing and coding, claims, and/or other healthcare data is preferred
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Tableau, Looker, and/or Salesforce is desirable
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associates degree, or Bachelors degree required.
- 3 years of experience preferred.
