Job Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop breakthrough research in the field of quantum error-correcting codes and/ or quantum algorithms and demonstrate their advantages over SOTA classical techniques.
  • Publish research papers in reputed scientific journals and conferences. Showcase the work via presentations in conferences, workshops and in form of invited talks as well as poster presentations.
  • Advance the quantum team as well as FRA goals through academic collaborations.

Essential Requirements

  • PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, and related fields with extensive research background in quantum computing.
  • Stellar publication record in the field of quantum computing at strong venues such as top-tier TCS conferences (FOCS, STOC, SODA, ICALP, etc.), theoretical quantum events (QIP, TQC, etc.), and/ or leading journals (SICOMP, JACM, PRL, PRA, etc.).
  • Substantial research experience (post-PhD) working in TCC and quantum information processing, and related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background and knowledge in either one or more of the following fields: quantum error-correction, quantum algorithms, complexity theory.
  • Track record of presentations at leading conferences, workshops, and invited talks at academic venues.
  • Knowledge of a few areas where quantum computing applications can be designed.
  • Coding experience in Python, C++, or JAVA.
