Please note: We are a remote-first organization so you can work from anywhere in India. You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events.

The role involves operational and functional leadership for a single or group of client accounts in a high-end, medical and scientific communication business serving global pharmacustomers. You will be accountable for ensuring client satisfaction and meeting operational KPIs for your assigned global delivery team through management of delivery, implementation of quality control processes, issue resolution, optimal work flow processes, people management and partnership with support functions. This is a key operational position critical to the achievement of our long-term vision.


Responsibilities


Team Management


  • Lead a global delivery team of medical writers and project managers to produce high-quality scientific deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality and timelines.
  • Foster efficient relationships with internal and external stakeholders across geographies.
  • Collaborate with project teams and manage team performance, setting direction and motivating members.
  • Support functional and scientific excellence through collaboration with the quality and training functions.
  • Review scientific content and coordinate with medical directors as needed.

Operations Management


  • Provide operations expertise for standard projects, including process improvement and operational support for daily operations.
  • Plan and execute complex and non-standard projects, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Ensure visibility on project progress, forecasting, and daily operations with the project management team.
  • Align global teams and share best practices, assigning appropriate resources to projects.
  • Prioritize tasks, distribute workload, and manage risks through cross-functional collaboration.

Operational Metrics


  • Optimize capacity utilization while maintaining quality of resource allocation.
  • Meet earned revenue targets and monitor project costs and cash flow.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for senior management.

Client Delivery and Stakeholder Management


  • Understand and communicate client expectations to the team, building influential relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Participate in governance meetings, manage scope and timelines, and support new business development opportunities.
  • Ensure workflows remain agile to adapt to changes in client expectations.

Qualifications and Prerequisites


  • 7+ years in scinetific writing and operations, preferably in medical communications or agency settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and reviewing strategic deliverables such as publications plans and scientific platforms, etc.
  • Experience in writing/reviewing deliverables across several therapy areas
  • Strong understanding of science to support operational execution.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills for managing multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in complex situations.
  • Rigorous work habits and capability to navigate ambiguity and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Detail-oriented and highly diligent.
