Job Description
Lead RFP/RFI development processes and timelines to support an efficient, high-quality, timely proposal submission and scope change process. Lead initiatives to maximize the quality of the proposal submission. Train/mentor other proposal analyst team members.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage proposal development and submission process and timelines to exceed customer expectations and facilitate an efficient, high quality, accurate, and timely submission.
- Facilitate development of complex RFP/RFI content including budgets and strategic text in response to sponsor RFP requests.
- Schedule and participate in strategy calls and budget review calls in accordance with submission timelines.
- Work with clinical development and operational leads to develop strategy for incorporating into proposal text; synthesizes feedback and input received verbally at strategy call into solid draft of proposal and budget.
- Programming/Mapping of internal budget to complex client bid grids when necessary as part of the RFP requirements.
- Provide guidance and training, and to Proposal team members relevant to their assigned deliverables.
- Act as an expert resource to internal and external customers.
- Participate in cross functional teams empowered to improve the quality and timeliness of the bid submissions.

Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree: Life Sciences, Business, or similar preferred degree
Experience
- Requires 5 years of general work experience and at least 3 years of global experience as a Proposal Manager within a CRO; alternatively, 5 years clinical research experience (CRO or pharma/biotech) with background in Finance, Clinical Operations or Clinical Outsourcing with at least 2 of the 5 years as a proposals manager.
- Must have experience developing both text and budget and mapping complex client bid grids and ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of cross functional departments and interactions.
- Experience developing proposals for full-service opportunities preferred
- Strong Excel, financial and writing skills required

Capabilities
- Excellent Technology Skills:Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. Able to create spreadsheets using complex formulas. Able to link data and spreadsheets. Ability to interpret and understand macros a plus. Navigate MS Excel, customize Excel driven formulas and trace dependencies, format Word documents and utilize Adobe PDF for submission finalization
- Proof-reading and Analytical Skills: Consistently produces complete and accurate spreadsheets and budgets. Proactively checks work and easily identifies and corrects errors. Consistently provides thorough and detailed review and feedback.
- Able to work at a computer for more than 6 hours in the day.
