About the Role:
The role of the Research Coordinator I, Research Studies is to serve as a primary point of contact for potential donors in research studies and maintain all associated donor data. The Research Coordinator is responsible for screening, and qualifying donors identified by the Patient Recruitment and Marketing Team. The Research Coordinator will perform phone screens to obtain the necessary health information to qualify donors for pre-clinical research studies, and coordinate study appointments with donors. The Research Coordinator will also have the opportunity to work on specific aspects of clinical trials, as it relates to patient data, appointments and compliance. This person will also work closely with the post-award team to ensure study timelines and recruitment deliverables are met.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that every communication and interaction between Sanguine and its study participants is a positive and professional experience
- As a touch point with our patients, represent Sanguine and our values with an exceptionally compassionate and empathetic attitude. Deliver on Sanguine’s commitment to bridge the divide between researchers and patients to help accelerate research
- Perform independent research for each assigned study and/or diagnosis to gain a deeper understanding of the condition and any study-specific criteria
- Help achieve company objectives by hitting or exceeding study screening targets and maintaining acceptable screen pass rates with high quality.
- Introduce study purpose and study requirements to potential participants
- Assess eligibility of research participants across a variety of studies
- Collect essential medical information and record data in a timely manner
- Administer and collect required study documents and documentation of diagnosis
- Create reports to identify potential study participants
- Initiate medical record retrieval and communication with physicians and/or medical facilities
- Review medical records, input lab results, and compile research data
- Attend weekly meetings to track study progress
- Take charge of additional duties and special projects as assigned
- Interact and collaborate with the Patient Operations, Field Operations, and Clinical Operations teams
- Resolve issues effectively and efficiently while providing an incredible customer service experience to patients
- Work primarily on coordinating in-home visits for translational and clinical trial research studies
- Responsible for managing a majority of studies within Tiers 0-3
- Other duties as assigned
- 4 degree in a life science or other related field with 1-2 years of working experience in a project management/client relationship coordinator role
- Embrace Sanguine’s mission to seamlessly connect patients to researchers with a patient – friendly attitude
- Experience working with general software tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Salesforce. Ramps up on new software quickly.
- Entrepreneurial, scrappy, and do-before-you attitude and an effective multi-tasker who can thrive in a fast paced environment
- You are extremely organized, meticulous, and detail-oriented
- You can think on your feet and can factor multiple data points to arrive at the best decision. Able to exercise independent judgment
- You take privacy very seriously and are familiar with HIPAA regulations, including having excellent judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
- Full time, non-exempt (40 hours/week),
- No Travel
